This year's theme is "It's A Jungle Out There" .
Welcome to the first annual Canadian Bodypainting Championships™, featuring a full day of competition - Brush and Sponge and Airbrush will be on Saturday, Sept 6th.
Artists will be painting models in a public access venue. The competition painting time is 6 hours and artwork will be judged by a professional jury. The models will then be presented to photographers and then the audience on the main stage. During the evening the audience will have an opportunity to be photographed with the models. There will be live stage performances and the evening will commence with a live dance band.
With notice artists can be arranged for those models that do not have an artist.
*It is important for artist and model to understand - As we believe it's a team effort and performance art part of the judging criteria is based on Model Presentation on the main stage. So, once the artist has done their best work it's time for the model to do their best presentation. We are passionate about models being more than a canvas -- but instead a living breathing creations, models are encouraged to "live" the team creation.
There will be a recognition award for the best model (most enthusiastic and crowd engaging) of the competition.
